Garrett Gafke – Chief Executive Officer

Garrett Gafke is a successful entrepreneur and Fortune 500 Executive, blending early stage action with public company knowledge. Prior to founding IdentityMind Global, Mr. Gafke served as President & CEO of Paymate, an innovative provider of payment and risk management services which was acquired by Flexigroup (FLX). Prior to Paymate, Mr. Gafke worked as advisor/Interim-CEO for several top tier venture firms and private equity firms. Mr. Gafke has served as President and CEO for SteelEye which was acquired by SIOS a public Japanese company, and was a member of the senior executive team that built and took CyberSource (CYBS) and Trintech (TTPA) public, the former of which Visa acquired in 2010 for $2 billion. He helped build VeriFone’s Internet Commerce Division (PAY) which was later acquired by Hewlett Packard(HQP) for $1.2 billion, and served as the Group Vice President and General Manager for Cardinal Health’s (CAH) technology division. A serial entrepreneur, Garrett has a proven track record of founding and growing great technology companies, having completed five M&A transactions, and two successful IPO’s. Mr. Gafke is an active angel investor and Board Member of early stage companies around Silicon Valley.

Jose Caldera – Chief Product & Marketing Officer

Jose Caldera has been developing and marketing products for the last 20 years. An entrepreneur at heart, his focus has always been on the Enterprise, developing products and services for Information and Payments Security, Risk Mitigation and Compliance. He started in application and network security, later moving on to payments, virtual currencies, anti-fraud, and anti-money laundering. He has developed and marketed products for a number of silicon valley companies including Securify, McAfee and now IdentityMind Global. Jose earned a Masters of Science in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University.

Kieran Sherlock – Chief Technology Officer

Kieran Sherlock has over 25 years experience developing high-availability distributed systems, with his last 15 years being spent in the security and anti-fraud space. Prior to being IdentityMind Global’s first employee, he was a founding team member at Securify, where he built a next-generation network intrusion prevention product, and co-invented the associated patent suite. After Securify’s acquisition, Kieran was a Systems Architect defining McAfee’s next generation firewall strategy. He graduated with First Class Honors in Computer Science from Trinity College, Dublin. Kieran is also a competitive cyclist with multiple California State Champion titles in his palmarès.

Bin Tang – Chief Data Architect

Bin Tang has over 25 years of experience in developing enterprise and consumer applications, with focus on database modeling, performance, and scalability. Prior to being an early engineer of IdentityMind Global, he built payment service integration and anti-fraud system at PlaySpan, a leading provider of virtual goods monetization platform later acquired by Visa. Prior to PlaySpan, he worked at Oracle Corporation in the Procurement, and Manufacturing application groups as application developer, architect and engineering manager. Bin has a Master of Computer Science degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University, China.

Rao Wu – Head of Sales

Rao Wu has been in professional sales for over 22 years, which includes 14 years in senior sales leadership roles. He thrives in early start up environments and specializes in building sales teams and sales processes from the ground up. His teams have seen double and triple digit revenue growth at multiple levels and many of his past sales personnel, are in fact now sales leaders themselves. Rao has most recently served in senior sales leadership roles with Jumio,, and Wheelhouse. Rao loves his profession and everything about the art of selling. Outside of that he loves exercise, chess, sports, spending time with his family, and teaching martial arts. Rao has a communications degree from San Jose State University.

David Andrews – VP of Marketing

David Andrews has been marketing B2B software for more than 20 years. He started his career in the traditional banking space, later moving to e-commerce, payments and mobile money. He has marketed products for a variety of leading Silicon Valley companies including Intuit, BroadVision, Twilio, and, most recently, IdentityMind Global. David earned his undergraduate degree at Stanford and his MBA at UC Berkeley.

Faisal Nisar – VP of Products

Faisal Nisar is an experienced product leader with a strong financial services and enterprise technology background. He is an industry expert on financial crimes, payments and regulatory compliance. Prior to IdentityMind, Faisal was Director of Product Management at D+H, where he lead the cross-border payments products. Before D+H, Faisal held product leadership positions at Fiserv, managing Online Account Opening and Transfers (A2A- Account to Account and P2P – Person to Person) products. Faisal holds a BS in Computer Engineering from California State University Chico.

Neal Reiter – VP of Platform Services

Neal is an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Digital Identity product leader. He is an expert in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, digital identities and has been working with virtual currency for over 6 years. Prior to IdentityMind, Neal was the West Coast AML Lead for Booz Allen Hamilton. Neal received his undergraduate degree from the University of California Santa Barbara, and his MBA from Yale.

Cynthia Tham – VP of Engineering

Cynthia has been a part of IdentityMind’s success for over seven years, bringing a wealth of experience to Development, QA and UX. Cynthia has over 25 years experience developing enterprise applications for companies such as Juniper and NetApp. She was a lead contributor to the ISO Remote Database Access Standard, a precursor of ODBC and led the effort to publish the OMG Mobile Agent System Interoperability Facility (MASIF) while she was working for General Magic in Mobile Agent technology. She graduated from the University of California where she received her degree in Computer Science.
